for
any Shelby-autographed GT350 or GT500 Mustang only while our
limited supply of these magazines lasts:
A
virgin copy (protectively packaged in a heat-sealed heavy polyethylene
envelope) of the April/May 1998 "Shelby Spectacular!"
frameable issue of Classic Automobile
Register
magazine (we made a special purchase of the publisher's undistributed
copies). It features a 1966 black & gold Hertz GT350H Mustang
on the cover, and its 124 pages include 30 pages of coverage
of Carroll Shelby and the cars that bear his name. CAR is printed
on premium quality glossy paper with a very heavy soft cover,
and the photography is among the best in the automobile publishing
industry; this
is a thoroughly collectible memento for any Shelby enthusiast.
The full-color feature articles include:
"Carroll
Shelby, the man"
by Leo Levine
"Shelby
GT350 Mustang"
by William Jeanes
"1966
Shelby GT350H--the
Hertz Mustangs"
by
William Jeanes
"Cobra
Daytona--The
most venomous Cobra"
by
Tony Landa
There's
also a marvelous, exquisitely photographed feature article about
hobbyists who produce miniature scale models of production automobile
engines. There's specific mention of one in Illinois (USA) who
produces and sells a fully-operable, gasoline-powered 1:4 scale
Ford big-block V8... displacing approximately 6.7 cubic inches
(0.11 litres)! Imagine displaying a scaled-down 427 side-oiler
on your countertop that effortlessly cranks over 16,000 smooth
rpm and produces 4.0 horsepower! May not output much usable torque,
but it'd make for a conversation pièce de resistance!
