Thanks to your site and its first-rate resources my HCS Coupe now resides in Kansas City with its new owner. All this happened in just over a week on CobraCountry! I had more than a half dozen callers in the first few days alone.

Your site's expert photography instructions and Curt's personal "Coupe-specific" photography tips paid HUGE dividends in marketing my Coupe... for both me and its lucky new owner! If I may quote Mark Twain: "I never learned anything while I was talking."

I appreciate Curt's taking the time to walk me step-by-step through how to capture great photos of my car. The Coupe is now gone but Curt's advice is here to stay. I thank him so much for his patience with me during this adventure.

Dear Cobra Country:

Mark that fabulous Indigo Blue Superformance #SPF2656 SOLD! It actually sold within just a couple of days after it went up on your site... and in the dead of winter here in Wisconsin!

I received about 20 inquiries from all over the U.S. and Europe, starting from the very outset, and had two solid offers. It's now about to be strapped into an enclosed trailer and headed to its new owner in Kingwood, Texas.

I commend Cobra Country both for its ‘reach’ and for its resources. Curt patiently guided me through how to take better photos of my Cobra, and those (much better) photos played a big role in the phenomenal response I received.

And one other thing: both of the solid offers I got were sight-unseen... the offers and the sale based almost entirely upon my photographs, just as Curt had predicted!

Gayle and Peter Brock’s personal Royal Blue, Polo White-striped Daytona Cobra Coupe SPC0036. Let's start with the basics... this is the best-running Coupe the Brocks have ever had the pleasure of driving. Peter Brock was so impressed with the car, and his wife Gayle enjoyed driving it so much, that he recommended they keep the car as their own. When the Brocks bought this car they put it on a lift and couldn't believe the car had ever been driven. It was concours condition! They then took these awesome basics and "Brock-ized" the car. From front to rear Peter Brock inspected SPC0036 for any and all potential issues. Amongst other things they reconfigured bushings, set the castor correctly, installed their BRE side mirrors, painted to match, and replaced the front headlight and driving light covers and rear hatch window with BRE’s high quality U.S.-made polycarbonate parts, crafted to the perfect shape and optically brilliant. Brock then couldn't resist going over the top and powder-coated the wheels polo white just like the originals were in '65. Titled in Peter Brock’s and Gayle’s names, they’ve had great fun taking their two Coupes to various events. However, with their Aerovault trailer business getting underway, it is time to get back to work and the Brocks have reluctantly decided to sell SPC0036, the car they will continually refer to as The Benchmark for Daytona Coupes!

Daytona Coupe admirers: adjust your harnesses

Peter Brock sent us this YouTube video link, which features a Daytona Coupe negotiating (at speed, of course) the straights, curves, corners and surface aberrations of Germany's historic Nürburgring track [Nürburg is the town—in Germany's Rheinland—"Ring" is how Germans characterize a circular track... hence "Nürburgring"]. Just click on the hotlinked 1961 Nürburgring "Grand Prix of Europe" Rennprogramm (race program) cover at left to transport yourself to The Nürburg Ring...

Needless to say, this is a video (and AUDIO) spectacular, so adjust your volume accordingly! And here's a li'l surprise: as genuine as the camera work appears to be, it's a digitally-produced animation... and it's wunderbar! Enjoy! Curt

The Best Friend Carroll Shelby Ever Had
by Colin Comer, Sports Car Market magazine
