Dear Cobra Country:
You
can mark my HCS Daytona Coupe SOLD!
Thanks
to your site and its first-rate resources my HCS Coupe now resides
in Kansas City with its new owner. All this happened in just over
a week on CobraCountry! I had more than a half dozen callers in the
first few days alone.
Your site's expert
photography instructions and Curt's personal "Coupe-specific"
photography tips paid HUGE dividends in marketing my Coupe... for
both me and its lucky new owner! If I may quote Mark Twain: "I
never learned anything while I was talking."
I appreciate Curt's
taking the time to walk me step-by-step through how to capture great
photos of my car. The Coupe is now gone but Curt's advice is here to
stay. I thank him so much for his patience with me during this
adventure.
Gone
to the first caller (in France) who contacted me only a couple of
weeks after my ad went up!
And advise Curt
that his advice on marketing your car with good photos is spot-on!
It sold sight-unseen (except for my photosplus the buyer had
a colleague come by to see and inspect the car.
Many thanks
for your site's photography tips and its 'European reach'!

machines are fitted with a Roush 427 stroker small-block V8 turning
a maximum 6,000 rpm and delivering 500550 horsepower, delivered
through an antiquated ZF transaxle. The reasoning for that
typical setup is twofold: the Roush is a very good engine,
and can be purchased right off the shelf. Ditto the ZF, as it
is also very robust. However, 550 horses in a 2,300 lb./±1,040 kilogram
car with only 6,000 revs to redline means that youre shifting
a lot when accelerating through the gears. The Quaife is light
years ahead of the old ZF in every respect, including durability.
The reason most folks dont choose it and use it is that it costs

Here! This fabulous Forty is a breathtaking rendition
of Alan Mann Racing's #8 car, XGT-1. It was assigned the continuation
GT40 number of GTP2103 and is registered as a 1966 GT40 in South Carolina.
Drivetrain: this beautiful car has the desirable Roush
427SR/ 540 horsepower powerplant, and you can drive it very easily
at low rpm in tow; it has an RBT ZF transmission with power-matched
gear ratios for this motor. 0-60 times should be in the mid-3-second
range and top speed should approach 200 mph. BIG
Photo of powerplant: Click Here! It has never been raced but
it has been on the Road Atlanta track a few times and handles
extraordinarily well. You can get behind the wheel of this drivin' machine
and drive all day, generating grins & thrills and 'thumbs up!' responses.
The AC works great as does the heater. In the cockpit:Smiths
instruments, adjustable pedals, and I have added extra 3/8" (±9.5mm)
closed-cell neoprene for heat & noise suppression. BIG
Photo of cockpit: Click Here! The Firestone tires are
as new. The paint is almost as new with only a couple of small stone
chips in the front, it does have the optional stone chip guard film
applied to the nose. This car cost approximately $117,000 to get to
this point with the motor and transaxle alone costing more than $30,000.

You
may think that all you need to know to take knock-em-dead
good photos of your GT40 is 1) how to turn on your
camera, 2) how to aim it in the general direction
of your FabForty, and 3) how to press the shutter.
Think again.
That's the perfect formula
for capturing crappy snapshots that'll prompt all
your potential buyers to flee screaming into the wilderness.
And rightly so.
Photojournalist Curt Scott's
latest revision has been carefully reworked just for you! Its
