Registered
under the coveted "SB-100" (California Senate Bill 100)that
means
no smog certification, no California registration hassles for
the life of the car!
This 'Fab Forty'
faithfully replicates the LeMans winner from 1968 and
1969, the only chassis (ser# P1075) to ever win the 24 Hours
of LeMans (24 Heures du Mans) two years in a row.
Safir Spares, LLC is the holder of the GT40 trademark
and has authorized Superformance to produce this timeless
design of the new Superformance MkI.
This
beauty is listed in the brand-new Shelby World Registry
(page 1,205), and the registration is current until December
2009. Only 1,400 miles.

drivetrain particulars:
Dart 427 small-block V8 and ZF gearbox
The driveline
for this GT40 was well-thought-out and designed to deliver a
combination of breathtaking beauty, performance and comfortable
cruising.
The engine
was professionally built with a Dart small-block 427 cid
aluminum block, Scat crank, H-beam rods, Jessel
roller rockers, flow-optimized Victor Jr. heads.
The top end has Weber 48 IDA carburetors and Gurney
Weslake valve covers (the valve covers are powder coated
in sintered black to effect an "old school" vintage
persona).
The ZF
transaxle is the very unit used in the BMW M1, with syncro
in all the gears, providing you with precise and positive shifts.
The (cooler-equipped) transaxle is equipped with a 3.77:1 ring
gear that delivers 75 mph cruising at 2,300 rpm. The
transaxle and bellhousing are powder coated to match the exhaust
and aluminum block and ceramic-coated bundle of snakes
exhaust.
