This is a dazzling specimen of a Backdraft Racing Shelby/AC Cobra, chassis#661. It's finished in premium-quality Rossa Red and Arctic White stripes. As a result, the paint is lustrous and safeguards against common road debris that would harm lesser quality finishes.

Everything about this Backdraft Roadster—from the 1969 Ford 351W V8 with correct T-5 C/S 5th gear transmission to its aggressive attitude and best-in-industry cockpit—will make your dreams come true.

My dream came true. I had always dreamed of this car ever since I was eight years old. It is now time to move onto another dream and let someone else live out his (or her) Cobra dream. You'll revel in the raw power and next-level handling that this serpent has to offer.

Professionally built in 2008 and with only 328 miles [527.9 Kilometers] logged, this li'l red reptile is in like-new condition. It's well equipped to handle the race track with its powerplant, geartrain, and suspension. I must admit though that I'm not much of a race track driver. I preferred the visceral thrills of taking this drivin' machine along the back country byways in upstate New York. Cool morning or early evenings were no problem given the heater and de-mister—this extended my driving season significantly. The Backdraft cockpit provides you with extra comfort and additional legroom. The BMW M3 suspension provides outstanding road grip and nimble handling.

1 July 2017: You can mark my Rossa Red reptile (BDR661) SOLD! It's gone to a new owner and a new stable way up in The Buckeye State. The buyer asked a friend to look for a used Backdraft Cobra for him on the Internet; that friend went straight to CobraCountry and found my car within two minutes. The buyer wire-transferred the full payment, and loaded up my Backdraft all within 48 hours. Curt advised me that my good photos would play a big role in selling my car, and he was right: the new owner purchased it without flying down from Ohio to meet it in person! Muchas Gracias Amigo! Juan Ampuero

The sensational Cobra photography you see on this page was brought to you by Juan himself, using his Nikon D5100 digicam and its standard 18–55mm short-zoom lens. Juan scrupulously/ conscientiously heeded this site's 'Photography Tips'... and his results speak for themselves!
