This production
drivin' machine was built in 2002 by Performance Cars,
of Durban, South Africa. It's commonly known in the USA as a
Venom 427SC Roadster, and was built as a then joint-venture
with Backdraft Racing. Thereafter the Backdraft
became a separate entity, altho' the its dimensions and overall
design of the two serpents remained quite similar. It has the
same 92" wheelbase, thus providing extra legroom for taller
drivers, and the same ladder-type chassis (2x4 MIG-welded &
powder-coated), and the suspension is the same independent front
& rear, based on the BMW E36 3-Series that has
proven itself conclusively over the years.
Below
are more details about this irresistible red reptile:

6 June 2012: You
can mark my Vermilion Red Performance Cars Venom 427SC
SOLD! A really nice snake enthusiast from Florida first sent
his cousin (who lives in my area) up to look it over, then flew
up himself and bought it over Memorial Day weekend. My
Cobra will soon be prowling the pavement of Pompano Beach, turning
heads, getting thumbs up, and blowing away Corvettes wherever
they are encountered. Thank you for your 'industry reach' and
your Cobra marketing guidance! Bill Hain
