427R Cobra Tribute by Hi-Tech Motorsports. This full-race serpent is demonstrably one of the fastest, best-handling Cobras in the nation. Finish: new Porsche paint [triple-black with black and aluminum interior]; fiberglass coachwork with aluminum hood, doors, interior and trunk.

Engine was recently rebuilt by NHRA record-holder Jeff Lawrence of Lawrence Racing Engines, and is outfitted with:

• Yates C-3 heads
• CP custom inverted-dome pistons (10.5:1 compression, runs on pump gas)
• Oliver rods
• low-mass titanium 2.10" intake valves
• Comp Cams customs cam and roller lifters
• Jesel rockers
• NASCAR single-plane intake manifold with fuel injection (48# injectors)
• Kinsler 1050 cfm throttle body
• MSD ignition
• Peterson external oil pump
• AccuSump system, modified race oil pan
• rebuilt Kinsler/Weldon electric fuel pump
• Ford Racing custom valve covers with oil injection system
• new aluminum radiator and fan
• aircraft-grade hoses throughout

• Lakewood blowproof bellhousing
• new double-disc racing clutch
• Jericho close-ratio 4-speed crash box [rebuilt to NASCAR specs by NASCAR legend Dan Elliott]
• custom-built Ford 9" IRS with 3.68:1 gears and non-aggressive posi-unit

This coiled reptile is registered as a 1965 Cobra. It's street-legal and a show winner, and is modeled after the Shelby Cobra 427R, of which only a handful have been produced. A used 427R built by HRE recently sold for $250,000. This car has been appraised at $130,000 (appraisal available for your review). It needs nothing.
