This is a very
exclusive Shelby Cobra for a number of reasons: it's the first
of only 12 hand-formed aluminum-bodied CSX4000 drivin' machines.
You get photos of the aluminum coachwork before, during, and
after securing to the frame. CSX4022 comes with the first-ever
engine built by Shelby Enterprises for a CSX4000 series
car and documentary photos of portions of the build. This car
was handbuilt at the Valley View facility; you get photos
documenting the incremental build/welding stages. It's also the
only known CSX4000-Series car with the VIN# stamped at
the factory in locations other than the front right upright.
You'll also get photos of Shelby Enterprises employee
Tom D'Antonio personally stamping the CSX4022 onto the upright.
I purchased
this car directly from Shelby American, Inc. with an MSO
date of 13 October 1997 (ordered December 1995) out of the original
Valley View Shelby facility, before the Shelby dealer
network was formed.

11 March 2011:
Mark my Shelby CSX4022 SOLD! I had three serious buyers in
the wings-one in San Francisco, one in Indianapolis and one in
France! It wound up going to Indianapolis... and after it
was sold, I had several more serious inquiries about it, and
had to advise them it was gone! I sold my Cobra and I learned
expert motorcar photography all in one package! Thank you for
everything! Kevin Rogers
