Butler Racing 427SC
Midnight Blue/black cockpit

This broadside shot is hotlinked (same view, MUCH larger size).

427SC Cobra replica by Ron Butler Racing. Midnight Blue/black interior. Ron Butler was the crew chief for Shelby American driver Ken Miles in the '60s. Ron was the only Cobra manufacturer in the business with firsthand experience with the original Shelby machines, both from behind the wheel, and from every mechanical aspect imaginable.

The coachwork is sleek and durable hand-laminated fiberglass body, custom fit & finished. Butlers are renowned for their robust bodywork and steel-enclosed cockpit.

This Cobra is virtually a continuation of the original 427SC Cobras, with many of the improvements that Shelby never had a chance or the technology to make. Butler's chassis design positions the engine 10" further rearward than the original cars, to effect a 48%/52% front-to-rear bias. Although currently registered in Idaho, this car was registered under the coveted SB100 (California Senate Bill 100) and still has the BAR sticker with the CA VIN# on the cowling.
