I received about 20 inquiries from all over the U.S. and Europe, starting from the very outset, and had two solid offers. It's now about to be strapped into an enclosed trailer and headed to its new owner in Kingwood, Texas.
I commend Cobra Country both for its ‘reach’ and for its resources. Curt patiently guided me through how to take better photos of my Cobra, and those (much better) photos played a big role in the phenomenal response I received.
And one other thing: both of the solid offers I got were sight-unseen... the offers and the sale based almost entirely upon my photographs, just as Curt had predicted!

Lessons for a Cobra seller to learn: 1) Follow Curt Scott’s photography advice and place your car onto the world stage with good photographs [after all, your prospective buyers—like my buyer—are likely to be too far away to drop by and see your car in person]; 2) Price it right and it will sell—even in this weak economy, during the off-season, and during the hectic (Thanksgiving) holidays; and 3) Don't waste your time and resources anywhere else—go to Cobra Country and position your roadway reptile in front of qualified Cobra buyers.

Eight days ago I phoned Curt during lunch and arranged an ad for my Cobra. It went "live" around 2:45 pm and I had an email at 7:00 pm followed by a follow-up phone call and "closed-deal" by 10 pm all in the same day.
In aggregate we had 4 serious offers, 10-12 emails from all over the country and countless phone calls. Cobracountry is extraordinary!
The car is on its way to Utah as I write this. He actually wanted to fly down and pick it up last Saturday but it was Father's Day and I was out of town. That would have meant the listing, sale and delivery all occurring in under 50 hours... not bad!

My Cobra stayed in the Atlanta area but the photos did sway the new owner to come take a look, as he was looking for a different color and didn’t think he would like a white reptile until he saw my photos. He said he kept clicking back & forth and decided to take a look in person!
My recommendation to future Cobra sellers: listen carefully to every word Curt imparts about photographing your Cobra—regardless of how good (with your camera) you think you are. His advice focuses on real, prospective Cobra buyers and will pay you big dividends.

There is no doubt that the advice your site provides on using your digital camera to capture really professional-quality photos is what expedited my selling my Cobra. Almost every caller commented on how gorgeous my Cobra is... even though all that they had to judge from were those photos from my little Kodak digital camera.
I received two offers from out-of-town folks who only saw my photographs—said offers subject, if they desired, to coming and seeing my car in person. My good photos would not have been there had I not followed the detailed instructions provided on your web site (and in Curt's specific advice on photographing my black car prior to finalizing the ad).
Ultimately the fellow who bought it drove up from Georgia (over 900 miles away) with a bank check and a car trailer attached to his vehicle—all ready to purchase based entirely upon the photographs on my Prestige Showcase page.

(street/competition) model as a “turnkey” factory
car. Under the hood: all aluminum 427 side-oiler “FE”
block (#172) was acquired directly from Carroll Shelby, along
with a forged billet crankshaft that brought the displacement
to 468 cid at 10.5:1 compression; it’s further outfitted
with Comp Cams camshaft, Edelbrock ported/polished
aluminum heads, with oversized Ferrea valves and needle
bearing/fully supported T&D roller rockers with
solid roller lifters and hollow pushrods, and with support
bars fully machined into the heads, Wiseco short skirt
type pistons, and Eagle brand H-beam type connecting

engine is lowered in the frame and offset 1.5" to the
passenger side for 50/50 weight balance; it was rebuilt less

on Long Island coincident with the installation of the Hilborn/Haltech
full 8-port EFI system. It was dyno-tuned and tested (sheets
provided) to produce 596 horsepower/ 600+ ft.lbs.
torque; the motor weighs less than 400 lbs./181 kg.
(vs. 720 lbs./327 kg. for a cast iron 427). Geartrain:
Richmond Gear/ Doug Nash 5-speed/overdrive with
‘correct’ reverse handle shift lever, Jaguar
IRS 3.07 gear ratio with outboard disc brakes. Rolling
stock: 15" 6-pin pin-drive wheels, secured by Halibrand
3-wing spinners, shod with Goodyear Eagle rubber [235x15"
