Letter
to CobraCountry
from a grateful Backdraft owner
26 October 2007
Greetings Curt:
Thank you very much for assisting me
with my warranty claim with my Backdraft Racing (BDR)
roadster. As you recall I own a Backdraft Racing 1965
427SC Cobra replica that I bought from California Cobra
in El Cajon; my Cobra had only 1,635 miles on it when the lower
nut on the right front balljoint fell off. I was going about
1-2 mph and turning into my garage when it happened. I'm confident
that this defective part is not reflective of the overall high
quality I have found elsewhere in my Backdraft Cobra.
When we spoke about this matter, you
arranged for me to phone Reg Dodd at Backdraft. Your intervention
assisted both parties in reaching resolution. Once Reg heard
the specific details of this little misadventure, he cheerfully
agreed to cover my repair shop bill (approximately $240) as a
token of BDR's commitment to its customers. Since California
Cobra had not provided me with an owner's manual, Reg also
sent me a new owner's manual free of charge.
I'm grateful to Reg for standing behind
my Cobra and I continue to recommend BDR to my friends. And Curt,
I appreciate your assistance bringing this roadster owner and
Backdraft together for a mutually-beneficial and completely
amicable solution to this mechanical mishap.
Sincerely,
Ron
