Dennis created this artwork for the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association's "Serengeti Drivers Cup" reunion at Watkins Glen Raceway, Friday/Saturday/Sunday, September 8-10, 1989.

The event celebrated the 25th anniversary of Ford's introduction of the GT40 Mk I; the artwork salutes the fabulous Ford GT40 Mk II machines and their electrifying 1-2-3 finish at LeMans, 18 June, 1966.

Taking the chequered flag on that Saturday in 1966 were:

1st Place: blue#2 GT40 Mk II at bottom right piloted by team drivers Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon

2nd Place: Gulf Blue#1 GT40 Mk II piloted by team drivers Ken Miles & Denny Hulme

3rd Place: gold#5 GT40 Mk II piloted by team drivers Ronnie Bucknum & Dick Hutcherson

Measures 23" x 35" (58.5cm x 989cm)
