Cobra Country
advertising rates

It’ll cost you approximately $300 or so to run a “regular” ad [that ($300) would cover
9 photos, 2-month initial run] on CobraCountry
... $395 for a Prestige Showcase page
(and a 3-month
initial run).

That’s to a packed house of Cobra, Daytona Coupe and GT40 enthusiasts.

How’s that for “short and sweet”?

ad renewals

it’s a piddling $165 to renew/extend your ad for 3 additional months ($195 to renew
a Prestige Showcase page)... and you pay no add'l charge if your original ad includes
a bunch of photos and/or a lot of descriptive text.

But listen carefully: the better your photographs are from the outset, the greater
the odds you’ll sell your car promptly. That would make you happy...
and it would make us happy as well!

 Getting your stuff to us:
Marketing your Cobra begins—first, foremost and in the endgame—with
good (better yet—excellent) photographs. Snapshots are for
lining your birdcage
. Repeat: untutored snapshots are
lining your birdcage—not for marketing your Cobra.

So here—by the numbers—are the steps for you to take to best position
your serpent or GT40 on CobraCountry’s world stage:

1. Print out and (carefully) read/heed Curt Scott's
   Cobra Photography Tips for Dipsticks:

photo tips

100% of how stalking & clicking steers you to photograph your Cobra is DEAD WRONG; 100% of how these expert tips steer you to photograph your Cobra is DEAD RIGHT.

$24.95 cover price. As a CobraCountry pilgrim,
this ‘Holy Grail’ of Cobra photography
is yours at no charge!

Latest edition [v5.77, last revised on 15 March 2014] of Curt Scott's 20-page lavishly-illustrated guide for photographing your driving machine for resale.

2. Phone Curt (661-251-0806 Pacific Time) and describe your car to him, so he can give you some extra expert tips for photographing your own specific car. This advance phone call to Curt will pay you big dividends in presenting and marketing your Cobra or GT40 to the world;

3. Photograph your car, carefully following Curt's über-precise and time-tested tips [for example, you’ll read on page 8 (head-on frontal shots) that you shoot all of these shots from measured distances ranging from 6 to 8 feet from the nose of your car. That indeed means 6 to 8 feet; it doesn't mean that it’s okay for you to back away to 10 or 12 or 15 ft. and just ‘zoom in’]. If you ignore his expert tips, all you’re likely to wind up with is a bunch of birdcage-liner snapshots that’ll induce prospective buyers to flee naked into the wilderness; if you follow them to the letter, you'll capture a batch of superb photographs of your serpent that will serve you well to attract buyers.

—final comment on your photographs—
Each of your photos is put through all the high-end processes [expert color correction,
contrast correction
and “brightening up,” cropping and other steps] that expert use of Adobe Photoshop can provide to
make your Cobra or GT40 look as good as it can with the camera you’re using.

Don’t even think of taking a stab at your own homespun image editing. Leave that task to
CobraCountry’s experts. Send us your digital images just as your camera captured
them... no rotating, cropping, downsizing or do-it-yourself editing.

4. Compose your text; for a “regular” classified/photo ad, just use an existing ad for your template for a Prestige Showcase page... the same advice: use an existing Prestige Showcase page to provide your text template.

In a "regular" text/photo ad, try to keep your word count under 250... you'll be charged 20¢/word over 250 words. But you could draft The Great American Novel in fewer than 250 words. There are no limitations (within reason) on the number of words you can use on your Prestige Showcase page;

5. Email us your photos and text:

email your text and digital images directly to Curt (phone him first at 661-251-0806 Pacific Time), at:
