Street Version by JBL Motorsports
Poppy Red/WimWhite stripes
The Daytona Coupe was designed by the Carroll Shelby racing team to compete against Ferrari on the long high-speed straights of the European race tracks during the 1960s . The primary design of the Daytona Coupe was heavily influenced by the critical eyes and aerodynamics mastery of Peter Brock.
The JBL Coupe featured here was designed to complement Peter Brock’s original Coupe’s design but with the genius of Richard Hudgins [formerly a lead suspension design engineer for the Porsche Racing program of the 2000s]. Richard Hudgins and his California team of engineers used their experience in the racing world to design two offerings of the Shelby Daytona Coupe.
The Street Version is engineered for full on competitive racing with unique features not found on most Coupe replicas. Whereas the Street Version offers most of the same features in a backbone frame, high end brakes and suspension and composite body but with better street manners.
This Series has combined great engineering in suspension and braking in a great daily driver with a race-ccommanding version of Peter Brock’s classic Daytona Coupe.
