Every Superformance GT40 is stamped with a Continuation ‘P Series’ chassis number along the line of the original P1000 Series GT40s of the ’60s.
Superformance GT40s are also eligible for the Shelby World Registry.
Registered under the coveted “SB100” [California Senate Bill 100].
That means no smog certification, no California registration hassles
for the life of the car!
—Under the Engine Deck—
This GT40 has been fitted with aluminum Dart block 351 Windsor that has been punched out to 427 cid. Topped with a sextet of period-correct Weber carburetors making 560 hp, with the capability to deliver 600 hp. Ceramic-coated bundle-of-snakes exhaust.
Mated to a period-correct (and quite rugged) 5-speed ZF transaxle.
The racing livery decals are all easily-removable static-cling.
—In this Fab Forty’s cockpit—
A defining touch: the dash is personally autographed by Legend-era icons Phil Remington and Dan Gurney.
GT40 P2181 is priced to sell: the owner of this car has been approved for his purchase of new 2019 Ford GT, which will supplant this fab forty’s place in his motorcar stable.
Brand new, this GT40 would set you back over $185,000 to replicate.
