Superformance 427SC Cobra
SPO1176, built by famed Olthoff Racing
Titanium/Onyx Black stripes
Built for unqualified adventure…
This silver bullet is well sorted and has been lovingly driven 46,000 miles [74,000 km] all over the U.S. to Cobra/SCOF (Superformance Cobra Owners Forum) events.
It has (quite nimbly) negotiated the highways and motorways to events from here in Iowa to: Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Texas, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Colorado and to the London Cobra Show near Columbus, Ohio. IMHO, the best part of owning a Superformance Cobra is the Superformance Cobra Owners Club (SCOF), I would perhaps have parted with this li’l reptile years ago, but SCOF makes all the difference. When you own a Superformance you join a worldwide group of owners with over 20 years of experience and technical support available, and they usually do 3-4 or more group expeditions per year. Two huge events are planned in the next couple of years; on that note, this car includes (prepaid) your first year SCOF ‘Platinum Membership’. Your good SCOF friends and memories will last you a lifetime.
If you’re looking for a track star, SPO1176 boasts all the suspension and performance upgrades it must possess to challenge and to dominate the other Cobras on the street or track. As only one example, it has been expertly corner-weighted for precise balance on the road and on the track, and with the click-adjustable QA1 shocks which can quickly set the ride to a smooth ride for your trip to the track… and then & there rotate the knob 5 clicks and have a formidably stiff track suspension.
The Ford Racing 392 crate motor has had significant upgrades and sounds the meanest of all small blocks, many times other Superformance owners will ask me why this car sounds so menacing and I just respond with ‘lots of cam’. This serpent is fast and nimble while still being quite streetable. It proved to be a race winner at the Run and Gun in 2010 with two Class wins—‘Champion Auto Cross’ and ‘Road Course’. And the li’l darlin’ is even better equipped today than back then.
You can purchase 1176 with the confidence that this snake boasts all the standard Superformance features such as factory-built consistency and quality, Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes, silver Jet Hot Coated sidepipes, and all the countless standard Superformance features.
SPO1176 is prepped and ready for you to gas up and drive cross-country… or head for the track with a performance-proven winner, just waiting for you to throttle her up.
